In other news, starting this autumn The Fashion and Textile Museum in London will have a very exciting exhibition on knitwear:

Chanel to Westwood
19 Sept 2014 – 18 Jan 2015
Inspirational fashion knitwear from the 20th century. Highlights include 1920s Chanel jersey, 1930s woollen swimwear, 1970s Bill Gibb and conceptual garments from 1980s and 90s designers Comme des Garçons, Vivienne Westwood and Julien MacDonald. An exciting combination of famous names and visually exciting pieces, the exhibition charts the influence of art movements Pop, Punk and Deconstruction alongside new knitwear technologies and design innovation.

As part of the exhibition's events programme, Donna will be doing a talk at the museum on Thursday 2nd October, discussing British knitwear, textile design, and contemporary craft.

We hope you're having a lovely summer!

  1. I'm not very experimental for those things, I prefer a very classical lemonade (lemon or lime, sparkling water, cane sugar, maybe a little fresh mint leaves) or mojito (same, with rum and of course fresh mint is no longer optional)
Great jug! What a lovely giveaway!

  2. Have a lovely summer to you too!
My favourite juice is: fresh watermelone, strawberries and mint leaves :P

  3. Here you are my recipe for a natural fizzy drink aka lemonade
    800ml water
    50g brown sugar
    juice of 1 lemon

Boil water then add the sugar and blend till the sugar is melted. Now leave it till the mixture is at room temperature.
    Add the lemon juice.
Now you can drink it maybe adding different fruits.

  4. Orange juice, a few slices of orange to make it look pretty, some lime juice, lots of sugar, red wine and lots of ice. Sangria for my friends!

  5. Lovely pitcher!
Fresh Meadow is our favorite in the summer to put in a pitcher.
    This usually makes 4 drinks.

Peel and juice 3 cucumbers (if you don't have a juicer, peel and blend and sieve)
Muddle a mint sprig with caster sugar
Add a few jiggers of Hendrick's Gin
    Juice of one lime
Top off pitcher with cold seltzer
Add a mint leaf or reserve a few cucumber peels for garnish

  6. I love gathering mulberries and they make a great spring and summer drink.
    Mulberry Lemonade:
Juice 4+ lemons (depending on taste)
    Muddle 1/2 cup of mulberries
    2 Cups of water
1/2 cup agave or powdered sugar
Fresh mint if you like the taste : )

  7. The ratios for a perfect cosmo cocktail

    This makes 250 ml.

    50 ml vodka
    25 ml orange liqueur
    25 ml lime juice
    150 ml cranberry juice

Finish with either an orange wedge or piece of peel.

  8. Cinerella - love the name it and the taste :-) - a great refreshing mocktail as I find alcohol tends to dehydrate me outside in the summer.

    45ml lemon juice
    45ml pineapple juice
    45ml orange juice
    Dash of grenadine
    Soda water
    Crushed ice
Method: Mix all ingredients except soda water. Stir vigorously. Top with soda water. Use pineapple and orange slices for garnish

  9. Lime and Basil kyotos have been my fave this summer!

1 part simple syrup, 2 parts passion fruit syrup, 3 parts lime juice and 4 parts gin. throw everything in a cocktail mixer and add ice and a handful of basil. shake, pour into a glass and top with soda water.

    summer in a drink form!
